The Monster Blanket is an idea I’ve had rolling around my mind for over a year, and finally got around to putting on paper to share with all of you. I will be releasing 1 square every Friday – each featuring a different monster. The end result will be 9 squares that can then be assembled into an adorable blanket.
Another Friday, another Monster!! Sorry for the delay on getting this one posted! Sometimes life does not want to cooperate with my crochet plans! 🙂
Download is for the graph only. This project assumes you know how to crochet in the C2C (corner to corner) style. If not, learn how via this great tutorial.
Instructions below are for the appliqué pieces you will need to make to complete this square!
Supplies you will need:
-Yarn: You will need an assortment of worsted weight yarn colors to complete this project. The background color I used is Caron One Pound – Robins Egg.
-Hook: Size H (5mm)
-PDF of the C2C Graph – Download here: Monster 5

8 sc’s into center of the loop, join with a sl st into the ch stitch at beginning of the round (8 sts)
Attach white yarn and Ch 2 – this counts as first stitch.

I added a little white stitching to each pupil to give a little sparkle to the eyes. Eye and teeth were stitched on and secured on the backside of the square.
